My best time so far is 15.09 at 89mph with my 93 Thunderbird SC at Portland International Raceway. The only mods are a shift kit in the tranny, after market high mass flow air sensor, and a cone air filter.

How close were you to another perfect light? I thought you nailed it until I saw the red light. Nice run, what was you 60ft?

My reaction time for that run was -0.011 and my 60-ft was 2.142. And thanks for all comments people, I appreciate them.

+1 :D I always single stage, last time I was out at the track I got double bulbed by someone else and the guy hit the clicker before I could even get on the torque converter so I just flat footed it out of there.

Very nice. BTW i am very partial to red 93s  as that is what I am sporting. Your vids bring back memories of my SC when it was basically stock, very similar numbers to what I used to run. Now you've gone and done it U will be addicted to these beasts of burden. :D
The best I ever went with only bolt-ons= stock long block was 13.79 at 99mph add a few more choice mods and you'll be screamin.

I'm trying to get a job so I can pay for exhaust, pulleys, 3.73 gears, and pair of drag radials. I want my car to do 13.99 so I can say I have a 13 second street car. :D What mods did your car have when it went 13.79?

I had:
3.73 gears, 87mm mass air, 3.5" intake tube, Magnum Powers 85mm throttle body, MP magnaport 2 blower and inlet plenum, 10% od on the supercharger, underdrive pulleys, 42lb injectors, 255lph pump, 2.5 to 3 to 2.5 exhaust with hi-flow cats, intercooler fan, and a b&m shift improver kit in the stock aod transmission. ET streets helped me big time 1.87 60ft was the best I got. I will add that it was on Halloween night with 50 degree weather. The car was consistent though never running slower than a 13.95. Then I went to a racing spec aod tranny with 2600 stall non-lock up and didnt realize you have to manually shift it to hold the gears out and a big front mount IC and never got enough runs til it blew headgaskets. but it did go 14.00 at 86 mph flat shutting it down right before the thousand foot mark last fall. Now i am doin heads, cam, better blower, etc.......

Looking at your mods, I'm not sure I'll be able to get 13.99. I'm planning on doing a 10% od on the supercharger and a 5% jackshaft pulley, so I'll probably have to do bigger injectors and a better fuel pump. When I ran my 14.943, it was like 67 degrees out.

That was my friend racing his dad's 84 Thunderbird turbo coupe with a 302 v8 in it. It dyno'd 258rwhp and he went 13.7 @ 103mph that run.

I would go 5% jackshaft and 5% od on the blower to avoid belt slip, injectors are not necesary if you stay at 10%. I would still install a 255lph fuel pump. Exhaust is necessary, depending on how loud you want I would install a resonator if you want quieter exhaust if you dont mind louder exhaust i would skip the resonator. I took mine to an exhaust shop, told him I need 2.5 to 3 to 2.5 out the tail pipes. I am using Dynomax Ultra-flos and they are pretty loud but perform awesome. The gears are def worth it . I dropped from 15.00s consistent to 14.6-14.7 after the gears. I would urge you to definately put an Intercooler fan on at any amount of overdrive.
After 10% od, 3.73s, ic fan, 255lph pump, a B&M shift improver(cheap but works great) and exhaust, I would say 14.4-14.5 should be there without a prob. I would expect to spend Approx $1200-1500 but it will be well worth it.

I'm still probably gonna do 15% od total, if there is belt slip I'll have this guy who works at fast specialties fix that. I'm not exactly sure what I want to do for exhaust. I don't need to do an ic fan, I just spray down the intercooler with some cold water when I'm at the track. I don't really use boost just driving around.

Your best bet would be a front mount IC, or more cost effective a double IC. I have been where you are at and if running that boost on a stock intercooler with no fan you will heat soak it(Even with water, spraying ic with Co2 ive tried it all) Then the computer will pull 10degrees of timing and you will go slower than before trust me. You will pick up torque, but after the 1/8 mi it will fall on its face and will upset you.

That happened to this guy I know who has a 1990 Thunderbird SC. He has a 10% od on the supercharger and he didn't let his intercooler cool off and he started running from 15.4 to high 16's in the quarter. If that happens to me I'll get an intercooler fan. I've been applying for jobs at local grocery stores so I won't be bringing in a lot of money. I want to go fast as cheap as possible.

with these cars and any other car for that matter, the biggest issue is patience. I know exactly were you are coming from I was a poor college student for 4.5 years with pretty much no income. I got discouraged many of time about having no $$$ and watching others build there cars while mine sat. I have done the mods to my car over an 8 year period and am now getting the parts to make the bigger power. Student loans are kickin my a~~ but it requires sacrifice to try and build them right without the big paychecks. I am only 24 and have developed a lot of knowledge over the years just researchin and researchin the sccoa. Hang in there and seek constant advice and research on these forums and watch the parts for sale for good prices, a lot of my parts were hand me down parts and before you know it you will be running your goal.

I need to get a job first but the job market for 17 year olds is not that great right now lol. I want to be able to get my car to do 13.99 by the end of next season. But yeah, I'm going to spend a lot of time reasearching and asking questions on here and other people I know before I do anything.
