BE SAFE THIS WEEK AND KEEP YOUR LOGS UP TO DATE AND THE HOUR.

Roadcheck under way in North America

The annual 72-hour safety-inspection blitz known as Roadcheck is under way.
Between midnight Monday and midnight Thursday, roadside inspectors are
expected to pull over 60,000 or more commercial vehicles in the U.S., Canada and
Mexico.
Some vehicles will be pulled over because of obvious defects, according to
officials with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, others will be chosen
at random. All trucks that are checked will get a Level I inspection.
This year inspectors are focusing extra attention on seat belt use and cargo
securement.
