motor break in

I used this method on my new built motor in my 91 mitsubishi galant vr4:

http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

-started it up and kept it at 2k rpm for 3min. while checking for leaks
-shut it down and changed the oil
-started it back up and drove around easy for 5 miles or so
-back to the shop and changed the oil
-then I got on the highway and did
*2 pulls at 25% throttle from 2k to 7k rpm
*2 pulls at 50% throttle from 2k to 7k rpm
*2 pulls at 75% throttle from 2k to 7k rpm
*2 pulls at 100% throttle from 2k to 7k rpm.

Remember not to hit the brakes or take it out of gear once the pull is done.
That way the vacuum will help seat the rings.
Also you might want to do this with the least amount of boost possible.
I ran 9psi on turbocharger as not to overpower the new clutch.
Once the highway runs were done I changed the oil and did a compression test. So far I have about 2200 miles on it and still runs like it did on the first day, compression is still the same at 170psi across the board.
