Finally got out to the track. New 17" et street bias ply's and rebuilt rotor pack with coated rotors in the mp3. First pass no burnout pulled out of water to far and couldn't hold in in place. Staged spun pretty bad off the line to a 1.84 60' went thru the beams at 7.94 at 88mph. Second pass same no burnout staged spun 1.87 60' went thru beams at 7.97 88mph. 3rd pass got a good burnout staged no spin 1.74 60' beams at 7.86 88mph. 4th pass good burnout 1.7 60' went thru the beams at 7.8 88mph. 80* out so I am happy should get my goal without N2O when the weather gets alittle cooler.

Everything was good no more blower leak and the tires gave me the traction. I was alittle worried about the tires being such short sidewalls, but they worked at 16psi hot.

The ngk BR7EF's are working great good burn on them. They are one heat range colder than the autolite 103's. Absolutly no projection into the combustion chamber except for the ground strap. I will get the wideband on it and test them with the nitrous soon.

What does that put you in 1/4 terms. I am not very familiar with the 1/8miles.

Did you see an improvement with the coated rotors and new rebuild. Boost wise.

That would be about 12.2 seconds in the quarter mile.

No more boost but i think it comes on sooner. Like super duper said it shold be 12 teens to 12.2's which is good in the weather I had. I previously ran 12.14 with 7.8's in the 8th in 45-50* back in march.

I did a 1.61 for a 60 foot with whee spin at the 1/8. 10.18 @87mph mostly stock sc with junkyard mods and 40+lbs of dry ice

let me edit the 2 sc 1/8 mile runs down to size and ill find some fast internet to upload them on to a site. THen you can scratch ur heads about those runs:rolleyes: videos dont lie but i' still stumped as to where it compairs to other sc in the 1/8

Right. You got the timeslip to prove that?

Just an FYI. Those plugs only last around 3 or 4 nitrous passes before you have to change them. You are right tho they are great plugs as we were using them on the blue car till we switched to an even colder plug.

After watching the video I think there was a timing equipment malfunction. With that 60ft and MPH the car should be running about 7.7 in the 1/8 mile and about 12.2 @ 110 in the 1/4 mile. I have a few timeslips that show over 600 mph from the MN12 National Meet that was held in northern Indiana.

I have to find the part number as it does not follow the BR series in NGK. We do have some idle issues with cold start that is attributed directly to that plug (We would have the same issues with the BP7's after 3-4 passes) Im pretty sure we could tune out via the Tuner but overall they seem to last a bit longer on the bottle with no visible signs of detonation or deterioration on the plug.. We were using that plug on the day you came to Cecil County with us on the 12.3 run..

Dennis, what window switch are you using, is it a straight forward install? I'm looking at the MSD Digital model. msd window switch (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MSD%2D8969&N=700+301135+115&autoview=sku)

Did you hook it up at the coil or the computer or elsewere?

You might have had a 2.61 60 ft but I can guarantee you that you didn't have a 1.61 regardless of what the slip says. I'm with the others on this. A 10+ second pass in the 1/8 would have to be in the 16 second 1/4 range at best.

You need to try another track out.

Sorry for Hi jacking your thread there Chris!!!

I dont run a window switch yet. The one we have (standard $70 MSD window switch) we couldnt get to to work so we left it off and bumped up the limiter to make the runs :) It's on my to-do list when I stop playing around with the Benz and the Mustang and fix the SC in time for the shootout.

PS - I tried to hook it up at the coil.

MSD told me the standard switch had to be re-potted to work on an SC with waste spark ignition, so I sent it in and paid another $50 plus shipping. Tried wiring it to tach signal wire, dis module and neither would work. It did work using one of the coil pack wires.

Ended up being a pain in the azz with it coming on late (6 ft off the starting line) and shutting off too soon (at 6000 rpms), so I removed it and relied on an adjustable fuel pressure safety switch. Digital would have been much better.

We have used the digital MSD window switch and it works excellent with no modifications. It has been 100% reliable so far and the adjustability is very handy.

I took my Mark VIII to the track last friday and ran a 8.744 @ 82.7 mph & my 60 foot was 2.059. and I had zero wheelspin, the video is on streetfire and on another forum on this site.

So for you to have wheelspin and get that 60ft would have me guess that you have 400+hp. now for the e/t... you must have slowed way down before the end or missed a few shifts. the mph again suggests the 400+ hp or dramatic weight reduction in an mn12. correct me if I am wrong just a guess based on the e/t's and rwhp numbers from my cars. My tbird had 189 rwhp and ran a 10.1 @ 71mph with zero wheelspin. My mark has 309 rwhp on the spray, so its hard for me to belive those are legit times.
