I meant at David's house or some place by the track so that we can get our tickets from him.

Duane,

Just plan to come to my house Saturday morning sometime before noon to get the tickets and ride over to the track with us. I've got seating for 7 people, so you and Tanya can ride with us if you want. We will probably be staying pretty late Saturday night, so if you want to leave early you better plan to bring your own car.

thursday got down to stl sent our friends with the truck/trailer/car over to gateway to get in line while we headed over to the hotel checked in and then went to find a bar. after about a half hour and checking about 5-6 places we finally found a bar open on a thurs night after 11.
friday- friends got pitted got the car through tech and all that. the rest of us couldnt get in until 1, we took off to stl to go through the Bud tour and get our free beer at the end. anyway got to the track just after the gates opened for spectators. finished getting the decals on the car and sat around until they called us up for t-n-t round 1. they finally called us up and we got to take our first pass, it went well 9.89. We decided to pack it up for the day with just the one run and went and watched some racing waiting for some of our friends to see how well they did.
fri night hit up the local applebees and then off to the bar til 330am and a between us a grand lighter ugggg
sat morning early get to the track, some bs on the part of gateway's staff they told some ahole to park their trailer in our pitspace next to our trailer right where our canope was suppose to be. this all going on while our driver is going through drivers meeting and getting the car into staging. we finally got them to move it after we blocked them in from getting their car out of their trailer. so on to the numbers from round 1, we went a 9.90 so we were really happy with the numbers. went out and watched the rest of round 1.
armdrop round went well we think it went faster but not sure no timeslip. we were car 10 and a friend was car 430 so we were way in the beginning and he was at the end, they run in car number order. were up in the stands watching and we get a call, our friend is in the staging lanes waiting to go up and he busts a lower radiator hose  without hesitation we go pull the hose off our car and get it to him in the staging lanes they put it on and fill it with 25 bottles of water and get him going to make the call for the armdrop round. had it ready to go with about a dozen pairs of cars left to go. just happens as soon as we get it fixed someone oiled down the track leaving us another half hour or so to sit and wait. figures.
sat afternoon we were in the pits waiting for 2nd round of nate's quick 8 and we were pitted right next to Dan Sitz's twin turbo gt500 and they called him up and they were rushing to get up there and somehow backed the car out of the pitstall hooked it up to the golfcart and went to pull it out, they must not have had the wheel turned all the way cause it they hit the corner of their trailer crushing the entire front pass side of the car. their day was done, the had the field covered by like a second and a half. seeing and hearing it happen right in front of me was sicking. that ended their day the packed it up and left.

we didnt get picked for the 32 (yes 2 16 car fields) but we did have a guy from the local track get in so we were rootin for him, he went rounds right into the final round where he was beat. not bad for a car that almost burnt to the ground on friday during testing, broke a fuel line on the carb at the topend. burnt a bunch of stuff under the hood, but got it going.

We had a great time.

It's sucks about Dan's car getting damaged and him not being able to make the last couple passes to claim his $5K. Dan is a real nice guy and he has done a lot of work on my 93 and more recently built the new exhaust for my 91. Here's a few pictures of his car.

Those TBU decals we put on his car at WSC don't seem to be bringing him much luck :(
