Are the various locking nuts, front seal, and rear extension seal used on our
M5R2s the same on the truck versions of the M5R2?

If so, it'll be "click to buy" rather than searching around

Thanks

Doug,

I would ask David Dalke as he has probbly rebuilt more M5R2 trannies than anyone on the board. I know he gets a lot of parts from Southern Gear. Then again.....Mike Puckett has probaby rebuilt the same tranny more times than anyone on the board......:)

The input seal and bearings and such are both the same but the output shaft is different. The F-150 version has a larger diameter output shaft than the SC and the rear seal, bearing, and large nut are different. The seal will leak rather profusely I've discovered.:( We would use the M5R1 sizes that were used in the smaller trucks. When I buy from Southern Gear I make sure that they know it's for an SC and not a truck. The counter shaft large nut is the same for both.
