Cooling fan question

I am going to toggle my cooling fan on my project car. I was wondering what size relay would be best to run the low speed fan?

Thanks
Doug

I used a 30 amp when I did mine and haven't had any problems. I even ran the high speed on it for a little while.

You need to find out what the current level the fan is rated at. You should look at the fan controllers that are out there. They usually are rated for 30 - 60 amp depending on the version. Flex-a-lite has a nice one that soft starts the fan, and will run it at 60% at one set point and full blast at another.

The relays internal to the IRCM are rated at 30 amps. I would suggest that an external relay rated the same would be fine.
