Proper cooling down.

Seems like an stupid question but, what is the proper way of handling a heat soaked car thats overheating after a beat run.

a. Do you shut down right away let it cool with the boiling water in the heads.
b. Run it at idle and let coolant circulate and oil circulate to eventualy cool it down like a turbo.
Or do you drive really fast so wind goes into the grill and in the radiator. Last one is a JOke.

I heard its best to let the car idle with all fans running. That includes turning the heat up full and turn the blower on full.

The EEC will actually bump the idle up and enrich the fuel a bit to help cool things down as well from what I'm reading.

I usually let it idle for a little while after after run, letting the cooling fan run and then shut off a couple times before I turn the key off. I always leave the IC fan on and I am also adding a 14" pusher to leave on also to help it cool down.
