Ok, Speedo deal is getting STUPID

Ok, whats going on here is...
I can be sitting still and it will be "fluttering" As in jumping to 40-50-60-120 MPH

Not only does that piss me off.....The ODOMETER and TRIP keep rolling while its jumping. As in if the needle "flutters" to 120MPH, the ODO acts as if i WERE going 120MPH so its rollin miles like crazy! But if i start to move it stops and reads the MPH...

Anyone.. any ideas??

Something wrong with the speedo mechanism. Easy to swap out.
