So did anyone else go? I was there with my friend.. He had the crowd favorite and 2nd fastest car there.. 88 Turbo Mustang GT running 8.60's all day long taking everything down. What a blast we had.. 450 cars racing most of them these all out full blown race cars all running mid-high 9's and low 10's and along comes this non-descript small block, stock suspension, stock rear, 10.5" tire street car that would of taken home that damn $8000 in Quick 8 if he had'nt blown it up. Car that won was a tube frame, big motor, big tire, big nitrous race car that was laying down 8.40's.. My friend's stang still had about 200hp sitting in reserve via his boost controller for that race.. ::grumble:: Stupid transmission ::grumble:
All in all it was one crazy event. So many cars were there that the closest parking for the truck and trailer was in the shutdown area right in front of the 1/8th mile track (figure a little over 1/2 mile to the staging lanes) .. There were so many really nice cars to look at, but after walking from the shutdown area to the staging lanes 8 times in one day and 6 times the next day, in 100 degree heat I have blisters on the pads of my feet, my heels are bleeding and I look like a lobster.. Im gonna have some videos up soon of the car.. It's one wild ride!!
