My SC is on the road.....made 2 pulls tonight

I have a few questions, my best friend and I got my exhaust installed tonight and I went out and made 2 first-third pulls

The first run the car felt VERY strong....I had the boost gauge at 15+ the entire time, I let off turned around and made another 1-3 pull but at the top of third my "shift" light came on and then my "check gauge" light flashed once

I let out of the gas and slowed down but my car was idling at 1100 (rather than the normal 750-800) and the car was reving slower and felt like it was slightly down on power....after an hour cool down and a battery reset the problem went away and the car was back to normal

what could be the problem? the major mods are in my sig........

TIA

THe reving slower can down and power could be the lack of an upgraded intercooler that I don't see in your mods.

Did you check your gauges? If your fuel level was low when you were zipping around, that may have tripped the light. If the temp sensor or oil pressure sensor wires are able to move around and make intermittent contact they could also trip the light.

Idle speed could indicate a couple things. #1, idle not re-learned quite yet after battery being disconnected. #2, blew a vac line off or blew or blew out a intercooler tube gasket or cracked an intercooler tube or weld.

I filled the tank with some 93, let it warm up and made another pull tonight....my problem is heat related.....the car doesn't have the best street manners but it does sound much better with exhaust

this is a vid from tonight

Heat related has me calling dis module. Perhaps dump some water on the module while the car is misbehaving to cool it off and see if it helps.

that could be a problem also, but I was talking about how I'm pushing all that boost with a stock IC and no spray

I'm going to try the nitrous but I need to change the plugs, I also need to get the car on the wide band

Must be nice!

Man I am hoping to swap in the MPX and get mine going this evening. I have been itching to get out or a cruise.

Definately hook er up to the wideband.... I had an issue one time with the idle of the car and it down on power after a good pull and it ended up being the TPS.... just a thought...:D

looking back on it now...I wouldn't waste the time with an MPX....I would just talk to Dalke and get a good set of heads, then if you wanted to play with a blower later you could build upon that

I don't know how much you plan on driving the car on the street but mine doesn't have street manors at all, I knew that going into it but keep that in mind

I had the MPIII on until it decided to shred my rotors on the way to the Dayton meet earlier this year. I will say that my car idled and ran great until then. It did really good easing around town and I was surprised at how good it did considering the cam I have in it. As far as heads I did mine as well as my wifes, father-in-laws and cousins. I also did the thermal barrier in the combustion chamber and the dry film lubricant on my valves. I did the pistons also while I had it down this time for a refresh.... I saved a bunch by being able to do this myself....
