Windshield Trim Painted Pics

I was wondering if anyone has painted their windshield trim gloss black or even any color other than flat black. I'm referring to the front and rear upper, and rear lower window trim pieces. I know they can be replaced, but I'm thinking it will save time and money to have them painted.

you still have to deal with old and cracking rubber... removing it is an option, the strips just pop right out.

i did this to mine and brushed them up with a scouring pad... not a bad look, but one caveat: dont do it if wind noise bothers you....

Your post confused me a little...So the rubber coating can be removed, right? Just at the expense of some wind noise? Do you have any pics?

I was hoping to paint just the bare aluminum gloss black (body color). Does this need special prepping other than scuffing?
