I was at the shop tonight and I just got done installing a new blower top, one of my friends in a auto (intake/exhaust) z28 wanted to know if I would like to go out and play
Dig: I got my ~~~ handed to me, I attempted to do a bog and stop but by the time I stomped I smoked the tires and I had to wait to 105 to get even with him then I shut down edit: my mirror flew off and was swinging in front of my face
2nd gear roll: I jumped out 2 cars but between 5000 and 5500 rpm I would lose a 1/4 of a car  I guess I'm out of power so I shifted....moral of the story is I let out at 5000 in 4th gear dead even
how do you five speed guys launch a SC that has a power band like a light switch? guess its time for a cheater slick

Funny you mention this. I finally went out with my buddy the other night and had a little fun. He has an 01 Z-28 with just your typical bolt-ons. It was nice and cool out, the SC was running good. We didn't go straight from a dig, but we did make a u-turn and went at it from about 10mph.
I ate him up through 1st gear, put a couple lengths on him, then kept pulling away slightly through 3rd gear when we let up. Id say 4 car-lengths or so.
My guess is you make less power then him, your best chance is to eat him through 1st and fend him off the best you can. As far as launching, you'll need to grip. I was luckily able to grip halfway decent, but in my case there was no catching me once I took the lead.

I think I remember that red bumper, you have the MPX at 25% OD correct? you dyno vid is on youtube
my car is very hard to get off the line it bogs off the line and then it all of a sudden wakes up and blows the tires off and goes to 15+ pounds of boost
I'm going to have to master the art of slipping the clutch, I haven't had much seat time but I can see a set of slicks are in my near future

Does it have an engine miss, or are you just not giving it enough pedal which is making it bog down initially? I would say you need to rev it up before letting out of the clutch at all. Don't try to launch it at idle, then hit the gas. At least start at 1500.
Yeah thats my video.....and thats my red bumper. Someday I might be able to update my members page with my current mods. That would be a trip!
You have anything done with your heads?

I wouldn't call it a miss its just not very responsive from my experience with the SC my DIS is most likely on its way out.............
