EGR Help? How Do I?

How do you go about eliminating the EGR and EGR Vacuum Sensor on a 94
5sp SC? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Need a chip to turn it off properly so the car can run properly. Any other method will have the car run lean or rich.

After that, you can plug up the EGR port on the intake plenum and plug the EGR port on the exhaust manifold, and remove everything else EGR related.

Is there a computer chip involved in eliminating the EGR from an '89? Or can I juct block it off?

I would suggest getting a chip to switch it off for the 89 as well. Some folks that obviously know way more than I do will suggest you don't need a chip and you can "short" out the EGR sensor fooling the EEC so you don't get a CEL, but the result of that is running a more rich or leaner AFR because the EGR sensor never changes to the environment.

Your choice.

I know its an old thread, but who would I talk to about getting a chip? My EGR is broken and I plugged both ends but I've been running without a chip. Also how much would it run?
