how much vacuum does a stock sc make

Stock gauges tend to vary.

My '90 auto says 18 at idle in gear, A/C off, engine warmed up. 22 in neutral. Hits 25 or more when coasting in gear.

A stock SC will make about 18-20 at idle neutral if your gauge is close to true if all is well. If your hitting 22 or so in neutral at idle I'd question how accurate the gauge is.

Neutral for auto or stick at idle will not make a difference worth mentioning.

stock boost gages? i had 18 on my stock and when i put in the autometer it was 15 and boost went down 3 psi. from gage to gage so i guss my gage was off about 3 psi:rolleyes:
 
I'd question how accurate the gauge is.

I'm shocked...you mean t'tell me that cheap, 20 year old stock factory gauges can't be relied on to read to the n'th inch?

Whatever... guess you'd know better than me :eek:. Guess its time for me to pull out since its obvious I'm behind the times and do not understand whats going on.
