Does anyone know how many SCs came with the optional car phone in the console. My 95 5spd has it, just wondering how common that is.

I have no idea of the real numbers. I have a 95 5spd with the phone as well. I haven't seen more than 2 others in the years I have an SC. I hope more that have this option will jump in here.

Does your SC have any other options? One of the 95's I have has the phone, moonroof, leather, AL spare and its a 5 speed.

I was hoping it would be a little more rare. Has anyone turned their phone on, ive thought about it just for the kicks.

Mine is pretty base other than the phone option. I have leather, but the P seat is manual. No sunroof (i have had 5 personal driver SCs and never had a roof). I have no idea what spare I have, ive never looked.

As far as I know the Factory Option for a cell phone was only a 94-95 Option (as far as SC's are concerned) . The 95's were never equipped with the JBL Audio Option nor did they get the CD Changer. In 95 Ford also played around with what options came with which Option "Groups". Like the early model 157A Option included Keyless Entry...not in the 95.

The phone wasn't in my car just the buttons on the speedo surround and the the mount in the console and antenna.

Lookin at that picture. I had cellular one service back in the day. They changed to cingular and now at&t. Could you imagine carrying that brick around?

I'm pretty sure that option would only be for way outdated analog cell phone service. Definitely useless.

Thats the Zack Morris Extreme phone. I'm waiting for the vintage kick to happen where the cellphone companies start making a phone that big again. Wont have to worry about losing that one between your seats.

Realllyyyy???? Hhmmm...interesting, i could have sworn that i've seen 95's with the JBL option. I guess i should take a closer look at some. My 95, as you describe, doesnt have the JBL option which I would have liked

Hell yeah! I had a motorola brick back in high school when everybody still carried pagers :p. I hauled that thing in my book bag cuz it was huge! I also used Cell One

By the way...if any 94-95 people have an extra or want to get rid of their gauge trim piece with the cellular buttons...do let me know! I want to play around with those switches.

I was looking at a very low mileage '95 5 spd in Colorado within the past month and it had the JBL system insignia on the dash and is advertised as such. It was unmolested except for tinted windows. The guy is the second owner and is keeping it as a collector. Hmm!

The *factory* cell phone option is quite rare, I've only found it on marks in the junkyards, shoot, I think I've maybe only seen one or two pictures.

Care to post yours, guys??

I had a corded one in my 89 but now it is just hanging on my wall and the screw holes are plugged with those snap buttons.

Just to follow up...the 95 brochure doesnt list the JBL system as an option, but the 94 does. Per Duffy, the dealer marketing material to sell the tbird also doesnt show the JBL system as an option for 95.

I was thinking of adding this to my 95...but since it wasnt even an option for that year...im scratching off the idea.
