took the 90 in to transmission shop and was quoted 1200$$$ to 1800 $$$ for a rebuild , is that about normal??when cold it takes alot to change to 2nd or 3rd and will not go to overdrive but when warmed up , shifts perfect with the exception of no overdrive. and was told rebuild or replace was my options. just wanted someone to say yeah man that sounds right or should i get another shops opinion? t v cable is fine...

I would expect to pay $1300-$1500 with the shop doing the removal and install, so that's not to far off. I wouldn't agree to a $600 spread or your going to end up paying the higher price.

I agree w/David's $1300~$1500, but only if it is clear that price includes a fresh torque converter & warranty. If they want to bump to $1800 for those, make sure the deal includes a kiss and KY :)
