Is it safe to spray carb cleaner or something inside the SC. There is dust and dirt in there and the rotors sound like they are rubbing but I think its just the dirt.

I dont trust (myself) in taking the rotors out to clean it. Thanks for the help.

Dumb Question: Should there be scores in the case?

I wouldn't spray anyhting in there, you don't wan to wash out the grease on the rear rotor bearings. If you have scratches in the case the rear rotor bearings need replaced.

WD-40 should be fine on the teflon rotors, if they use it on jet engine turbine blades, shouldn't have any problem's cleaning the rotors, although I did use some thick synthetic oil after the cleaning, make sure I got all the dust particles

What kind of problems will I have running a blower with peeling rotors. I know there will be some loss on efficiency. But will there be any other issues with it. I found that the dirt inside was just a lot of the coating peeling off. I cleaned out what I could.

Thanks again for the help.

It'll flake off and get stuck in your i/c blocking the air flow slightly.
