Het MK,
Thats exactly what I have. I have had the force II kit for about a yaer now on my car, I just recently got the cats removed with straight pipes, Your set up is Identical to mine. How do you like the sound?? Does your car get REALLY loud at WOT? and does it have a drone from up top? Mine does. I like it, but now I cant hear my SC lol. Alos about boost with my 5 % I am getting 18 PSI at 4500rpm WOT this is from a aftermarket boost guage

I have my cats removed with new custom downtubes, and I have the flowmaster force II kit in the trunk of my car, as soon as I get a resonator I'm all set. My friend has that setup on his 35th, sounds good, no drone on the highway.
Mines a 5-speed so it should sound REALLY good!!!

Your Kit didnt come with a res??? what MK showed above is what I received from SUmmit also, it the Force II kit. The pic where he had the exhaust laid out. That is the kit as far as I knew. but I just looked at my car, and they didnt tighten up the pass side manifold to the pipe.

For some reason the underside of your car looks very familiar!! Looks good Matt, BTW are those 2 1/4" downtubes?

If he has the same RES as I do, than there 2 inch down tubes. I have the same setup, and we used 2 in downtubes here. the res is 2.5 in and 3 in out to 2.5 y connector and mufflers

Laura is OK except for the fact that she is 7 1/2 months pregnant with twins!!LOL I would love to help you with installing new springs/shocks, what are you planning on getting? Whatever you get it is quite easy, and shouldn't take long at all. The only thing is Laura will probably be delivering about that time so that's a wait and see kind of thing, as the time gets closer that you wanna do it well try and set something up.

sounds good. i dont want to get in the way of a pregnancy. good luck with your kids. i was planning on going with tokico illumina II's but my cousin is trying to get me to spend 200 bucks more and get h&r springs with koni yellows. what do you think of tokicos??? anyway, thanks, and i'll talk to you later.

As you know Matt I have the Koni's and they rock!!! If you don't care about losing the in cabin suspension control go with the Koni's they are alot more versitle. I only paid 490.00 which included shipping from shox.com last July, I think the Tokico II's were like 470.00 for all of them. True the Koni's require a little more work installing them (about 25 more minutes total) but are well worth it IMHO.

is that 490 for just shocks???
doug93sc
04-30-2002, 01:13 PM
Yup 490.00 for the shocks only. How much were you planning on spending for the whole combo?

i was planning on spending about 500 bucks for the whole deal. i guess 700 would be a little more reasonable huh. that sucks.

The kit is just two mufflers and pipes. The Flowmaster resonator is sold seperately, part number FLO-15111 if I recall. They didn't stock that part at the speed shop I went to, but they did stock my ripper shifter and the rest of my exhaust kit.
