Hey, just wanted to say hello to all you guys and thank all the SCCOA community for all the great information you guys provide much appreciated

Thx , Ya i think it needs the heads done as it sputters and white smoke out the tail pipe along with water dripping it doesn't have antifreeze just water at the moment. and also the Supercharger has alot of play n rattles at idle It has the spring type coupler

welcome to the club anything you have problems wth just ask between us all we hav he answers. headgaskets are no biggie need info we got it need parts we got it need help well youll still need it we lazy well i am anyway lol

hehe thx Manny. I seen you have heads for sale i'll keep that in mind. i havent felt the power of an sc
yet need to get this thing running and see what else needs to be fixed hehe.
I seen the head gasket guide on here somewhere seems kinda simple but its gonna take some
time n brain power, Time I Have alot of but Brain Power on the other hand lol:D

the power is ok but feels like less when you get used to it .

when you pull heads port the exh manifolds just cut the ridge at exit it will be noticable gain remember new bolts do not reuse head bolts better yet arp studs check your harmonic balancer often they can cause you a major set back be pro active not dumb active check out everything you can .

oh yeah oxy sensors can go out when head gaskets go water ruins them

thx for the info Manny ive never done heads before but i have seen it done and about porting them what would i use to do that? i have a compressor and air tools but i doubt i'll be messing with that heh. i read i can use chevy 2.8 arp head studs? what year thx for the advice

to port heads use a carbide die grinder tool i use a tapered tip round on end it lets me get into most areas i cut sharp edges off just round them off dont cut alot just round corners and dont cut down on exh floor , if you dont know what your doing you can hurt perf so keep it safe just clean up casting flash and sharpe edges .

I can send you some pictures of where and what to cut after die grinder use sand paper rolls to smooth out I then use some abrassive wheels and plastic abrasive wheels they come in fine mid and course you can get a polished look from them and on the full all out heads i polish ports to chrome like finish with small buffing wheel same in chabers unshroud valves heck ill make a street port picture guide and you just follow the directions and you will come out with a good street/ mild ported head setup that will et you goig pretty well . give me few days to compile pictures .

That would be great thx alot. iam gonna have to get a new exhaust the one the car has seems all stock and when the car was running it had a clicking sound or something in the downtube like a hole or something maybe a bad Cat idunno. thanks for the info tho it will help others on here also iam sure :)

Ah i see. Well I would recommend you talk with Manny he can share some info with you or work out a deal with you for some ported polished heads. :cool: Did you take apart your motor?

nah haven't broken it down yet. i think the last owner did a liquid gasket repair on it cause it ran ok on the way to my house other then a lil sputter n sc rattle but what can you ak for 300 bux heh
