I have a 94/95 BHJ SFI harmonic balancer on a 94 parts car I bought but my racecar is a 90. The only difference seems to be the mounting for the sensor ring. If I have a machine shop turn down the sensor mount to match the earlier 90 balancer and make sure it's still zero balanced is that all that's necessary? BHJ's tech rep couldn't answer the question and Bill at SCPI thought it was OK but didn't know for sure. Anybody out there know for sure? I once had a stock 94 balancer turned down to match the 90 but never ran it to try it. The 90 sensor ring mated up perfectly so the timing should be Ok, but will it work? Seems like it should.
