FMIC flex

Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with lack of flex in a FMIC. Other than the minimal gap between the pipes in the four couplers, there is no give on mine. Has anyone broken welds or anything from torque or daily driving?

With the stock IC boot, there was plenty of room for flex/twist.

I used solid mounts on mine, no problems. A stock intercooler is bolted to the motor so it would need to move with the motor. A FMIC is bolted to the body; therefore, it only needs to move with the body.

I would use hump style hoses at those joints vs solid couplers. The IC can be bolted rigid, but there has to be some give in the system to account for engine torque. My system moves quite a bit if I goose the throttle, I can only imagine how much movement it gets under a high load situation.

Is that a polished/chrome idler/bracket or just the light? Everything looks nice in any case :)
