Not for me though :( I didn't do anything different to the car at all from when I ran my best of 12.42 @ 109.5 at Dayton (1.74 60ft). Well, I take that back, I installed a Rockford Fosgate amp.

Like Kurt said, traction sucked and I was racing on 91 octane. But I made 6 passes throughout the day in order:

#1 = 2.042, 8.502@86.81, 13.012@110.36
#2 = 1.883, 8.315@86.71, 12.842@108.40
#3 = 1.924, 8.343@86.28, 12.829@109.60
#4 = 1.846, 8.181@87.54, 12.676@111.57
#5 = 1.797, 8.163@87.94, 12.639@112.18
#6 = 1.862, 8.252@87.34, 12.753@111.63

I kept lowering tire pressure until I was at 12 psi. My best 60ft actually came from my worst burnout. It was so bad of a burnout I almost reversed back to do it again, but said screw it and figured it would be a throw-away run.

Even though I didn't set a new best e.t., it was nice to finally get past that 110mph barrier. And even nicer that I didn't break anything. This event was pretty cool and it was fun to smack around a few GTP's :) OH, and thanks to the SCCoA for financially sponsoring the event. It was nice to get a little extra cash back for the trip home.

I also had a new best in both ET and MPH. :D

If I knew how to drive or how to do a proper burnout, I think I could of had a much better ET, but that's alright. I'm quite happy with the mph. The ET will come after some practice.

2.095 13.117 109.17
2.080 13.186 110.70
2.163 13.290 108.96
2.223 13.856 108.10
2.053 13.008 112.15
2.146 13.198 111.76
2.089 13.107 109.38

I was out in the 2nd round with a break-out with my personal best against a dial of 13.8, hit a 13.709 (I was hitting the brakes, giving me mph of 100). Best 60' of the day at 1.945 as well.

I was happy to see the last couple races of the day getting below 2.0 60foot times, as my times have typically been around 2.1 or worse. I need to do some work this winter to tighten up the rear subframe and diff mount to try to better control wheel hop. I had a last run where I was gonna try to do a little better on the 60', but it hooked, move forward and then hop hop, I backed off, not wanting to break things.

This was the last track run for my MT tires. This next spring I'll give them a proper smokey send off. Cords started showing.

13 passes down the track for the day (first run at 9:30). The Hurst T handle Shifter with button worked great for controlling the line locks. I had good stable burnouts, and careful use at the line helped keep me from rolling forward even with a fairly strong wind blowing. The snow system worked well keeping ACT's down below 110 all day, even though the temp would come up to 128, 130 just heading back to the pits (no i/c fan on this car)

Overall a great day. Thanks to the Supercoupe Club of Iowa for putting on the event. It was great seeing all the cars that made it. Thanks to those that traveled in.

Its always a good weekend at the races when you can drive away and make it home safely. The St. Louis crew (with Serno) need to come to KY and run one weekend!!!!:)

I was one of the 5 SC owners not racing their SC at the club clash. But I did race my N/A 4000 lbs 4-door. Although I wouldn't be able to keep up with Dave, but I did get a 14.703 at 95.9 mph with a 2.239 60 foot no less.
