Brakes are weird???

Ok so I am having this problem with my brakes. The ABS light and BRAKE light come on the dash and then it's really hard to push down the brakes and I can hardly stop.......DANGEROUS!!!! But the real problem is that it comes goes when I am driving and sometimes they will on and off to. Anybody got any suggestions I am new to these cars and the Haynes manual I have sucks

Have you noticed the BRAKE and ABS lights come on whenever you press the brake pedal before? If so, how long has it been doing it.

The problem can be a few things. Either the ABS motor relay is bad, the ABS pressure switch, the accumulator ball is bad, or the motor is going bad.

I had the same problem and have been sporting the hard brakes ever since.

It has been flashing on ever since I had the car.......but just recently going really hard. thanks for the link
