Car runs great, but randomly shuts

I just replaced the power steering lines and spark plugs on my 95 SC. I even frabricated a replacement for that stupid little elbow in the pressure line you can't buy anyplace.

The car runs and drives great now, except if you let it sit and idle. It idles fine for a minute or three then just stops. No sputtering before hand or anything. Just like someone shut it off. I restarts instantly just by turning the key again.

I guess I could live with it since I never have to sit in traffic anyway, but i'm worried the problem may occur when in motion, which would be more of a problem.

Anyone have a clue?

these cars have a known problem with the ignition switch getting loose---so it could indeed be the ignition switch turning loose---its an easy fix to replace it........Dan

So you mean that the dieing issue just started after the repair...?

Check grounds/ground paths.

Sounds like a crank sensor issue. Does the upshift light come on when you are cranking it? Check and make sure the harmonic balancer didnt break.
