Not everyone on this site fills in their location, and I hope we get a group from down this way. Maybe we can have a meet in Oct/Nov sometime if there's interest and find a central location.
Where're you from?
Brandon (Jackson area) MS here
What are you doing with the SC? Goals? (keep it pristine, show car, drag, track or just have fun etc)
Will do some bolt on mod's, but nothing outrageous. Never been to a dragstrip, but maybe keep that option open. Want to keep it pretty much stock looking. Goal, maybe a car show one day.

anyone around in Dallas area? I had a 92 coupe I bought new.
Had various engine and body mods. (not as good as an SC :()
Got wrecked this summer, so I bought the SC I always wanted:D really clean 91 Red 5-Speed. 106k, garage kept. Used for road trips to Nascar races. (never used as daily driver) Car looks and runs like brand new.
Where're you from?
Desoto, Tx (South Dallas)
What are you doing with the SC? Goals? (keep it pristine, show car, drag, track or just have fun etc)
Bolt on mods (engine and suspension) Plan to attend road racing driving events and maybe some autocross. Was never really into 1/4 mile. (oh yeah, and beating the a** off my son's Civic:D )
I've seen where some people left to go to the other SC site, but it doesn't have much traffic, so I'm mostly hanging out around here. Keep your ears open for a car show on the coast, I think there's a big one that covers the MS coast. It would be pretty cool to all meet up for that one and setup an SC area. I hear cars line up on the highway at the beach for miles. May have missed it though, might be in the Summer? Hope we get more interest here, but there are so many Chapters that they may all get diluted and no participation.

No, you have not missed the car show in Mississippi. It is called Cruisin the Coast and it starts Oct 9th and ends Oct 13th. The show is a lot of fun I have gone to it for the past two years. I recommend you checking it out.
Wow, talk about short notice! Well, at least we didn't miss it. I'm going to see if we can make it on the 12th. Anyone else up for it? I'm going to mention this in the NT forum. Do you know if there's an info website about it? Any main locations for judging? I'd like to check out some cars. Nice weather for it too.

I am in Gulfport MS and the cars start coming in 10-05 and are here all week long. It is mostly older cars but there are a few newer ones andthe good thing about the cruise is the cops back off a bit and some allow you to do burn outs and drag a little. The cruise meets at different places but usually they can be found at the end of Hwy 49 by the Rice Pavillion.

Is Lilli having any effect on the planning for this event? I'm thinking about stopping in on my way home from New Orleans, maybe on Thursday....
How much trouble is it to get from the car corral in Long Beach to the Coast Coliseum?
