Well lets see, I got my first S.C. when I was 43 years old. That was a 1990 that I still have today. So how old does that make me?? Some days my body says TOO OLD, other times it says not old enought.. Those are the times that I am at the track putting down some "smack" on some kid in his GT Mustang or "F" body GMski or something like that.....Rich

42......bought the '95 5-speed brand new on 9/23/95. Build date of 6/20/95

I think I paid around $22,500 for it.....Sticker price was over $27,000. I had looked for one for about 2 years and all salesmen told me I would have to order it (especially with 5-speed). Happened to drive onto a local lot one night and there sat 5.....3 automatics and 2 5-speeds (black and blue). I bought the blue one..

Still the daily driver with 180,000 miles. Still all stock....except alot of parts have been replaced.....

There something you dont hear very often. Anyone else buy one new?? How much?

The reason I never bought one new was due to the fact the the girls tended to flock more to lifted F-350's than thunderbirds or I would have had a new one. They were cheaper than what I was spending on those trucks for sure...

37 owned 2 birds for 19 years combined.

90 sc 35th - bought (from a chevy dealer) in 1993. My daily driver, loved that car the first time i saw it.
but traded in my...86 turbo coupe, should have kept em both.
Passed on a 95 5 speed a few years ago, wife still wont let me have 2.

48 here,Looked for a SC for awhile. Didn't know about SCCOA. Wanted a 95 5spd, they were either to much or beat to bad. I was going to drive down to put a down payment on a STS and I just decided to check Autotrader to see what other STS's were going for in the area and to see if maybe another one popped up that would be a better buy. One a whim I did a national search for a 95 5spd. One popped up 2 miles from my house. No way I thought. I called the guy and said " It's a 95" he said "yup" I asked " it's a 5spd" he said "yup" I said "are you sure" he said "yup" I drove to it immediately and bought it. That was March of 07. Will be getting my second 95 5spd this Spring. The new one will be getting a TVS 1900 blower, better heads and intake. When that is complete the first one I got that was stolen will be rebuilt w/ a STS remote Turbo unless I decide to sell it to help me w/ the other one. :D

After reading all of the threads, I can give you all a few examples of old:
When god said "Let there be light", I had done the wiring.
I honestly remember 5 digit phone numbers in Denver. "Pepsi" done in skywiting in the sky. 5 cent cokes, and candy bars. 10 cent comic books. Also, Buster Brown shoes where they had flouroscopes so your parents could see how your shoes really fit, and nobody said a word about radiation. My 1st T-Bird was a new 63 Convert - it was a demo when I worked for Courtesy Ford in Englewood CO after I got out of the service. I've also had a 64, 70, 74, 77, 87, 90, 95, 90, 85, 89, 90, 90, 94 and now an 89. Soon to buy another 94. All of them from 87 were either turbo coupes or supercoupes. I like the SC's best, but have a hard time liking the sound of a 6 cyl. No more tall tales.... But this year, I'll be turning 69.......I dont drink any more, and I dont smoke any more, and if it werent for Viagra, there wouldnt be any reason left to live... My best regards to you all.
