Replacing exhaust manifolds

It's been awhile since I was under the hood but I have an mpx that's going in. I figured I would replace the manifolds because the bolts are so rusted the threads that hold the tubing to the manifold are stripped. As I was told there really isn't any way to get them out and replaced? The exhaust is starting to rattle and leak from the gap that is forming.

I ended up just cutting the old studs flush with the flange on the manifold, then drilled them out and tapped them. Screwed in new studs and all was well.

Did you do it with them on the car still? If I remember right they werent that hard to get to with the valve covers off. I'd even be willing to trade someone my ported manifolds for thiers that have A+ condition studs.

The second time round I did them from underneath, but the exhaust wasn't on the car so it was easy to get to.
