View Full Version : Funky thing with cruise control.... video inside

I was driving the titanium 89 yesterday and decided to use the cruise control...it started doing a weird fluctuation to keep up with the speed that I had set it to. On my 95 when the car gets slow and it needs to speed up...its more of a gradual smoother acceleration and not an abrupt bump up to speed like in the vid. I'm wondering whats up with that. Any help appreciated.

Is it equally touchy about going into boost with light to moderate throttle when the cruise control is off ?

nope! on regular driving acceleration is smooth and gradual as it goes from vac to boost :confused:

I would suspect short circuits, vacuum leaks and/or worn VSS. You might check for any stored codes ~ 29 &/or 452 specifically.

yep, drove the car again yesterday and no other issues with the reving unless the cruise is on...so i guess its a component specific to the cruise system. No big issue, i'll start checking things out slowly.
