Wont shift into 3rd

i have a 95 sc auto with a art carr stall, shift kit, and trannys cooler done to it. I was driving the car to work when i came to a stop light i toke off and the car doesn't want to shift into third gear.I cant get it to skip third into overdrive. Has anyone had this problem before.Thanks for the help!!! SC YA

ive had this problem as well. did you lose reverse? if so your looking at a rebuild.

Yes i have reverse. the car still hauls ~~~ in first and second. just no third gear.

Usually when you lose one it's only a matter of time before you loose em all...atleast thats been my experience with Ford AODs and 4R70W's.

Dont feel bad

Today I had to drive my bird in reverse 7 miles back home (no 1st or 2nd, waited too long for a rebuild). Got several funny looks from other drivers and bystanders. I think its time for a new bird, just start fresh and use the 94 auto for parts the 94 5spd i'm looking at
