Emergency brake lever removal trick

I was at our local pull-a-part this afternoon and found a 90 SC in the yard.....

It had a nice e-brake lever....

I was going to pass on it, as I have never been able to get the damn cable out of the back of the lever assembly......

After thinking about it for a few minutes, it came to me......

I took a ½" 12 point box end wrench and slipped it over the e-brake cable and pressed it onto the little spring thingy that holds it to the e-brake bracket...

Twisted it just a little bit and the cable slipped right out.......:D

I think I got it for about $10.00, but I got a bunch of other parts on this trip....

Black cloth rear seat (top and bottom)
