Its going to the junkyard on Thursday morning, so I wanted a bit of fun out of it before we parted. After all I spent too much money into fixing it.
So after work I boxed up 15lbs of dry ice in the snow version, took care of some odd jobs and headed for where the 94 rests.
Started it up and let it run for a good 10-12 min with the radiator fan disabled to get it nice n hot, then I took these 2 videos. The engine ingested about 10lbs of dryice right down the throttlebody in that a good chunk would make it into a cylinder with explosive results. I wont spoil the fun here, watch the video to see what happened:cool:

I'm glad to see it was a Caravan and not an SC.

Not sure why your trying to break it, but if you really want to screw it up.... rev it up and shove a running garden hose down the intake manifold.

Quess there isn't much to do in the country. I was hoping for something to happen. Engines take a lot of abuse.

Why not just fix the tranny and sell it.

You do what Dave said and it will grenade! I have seen it done to a revving Cummins on a concrete truck and it blew!

it a 94 plymouth grand caravan. Engine is a 3.3v6 with some 210,000+ miles, the tranny was fully rebuilt about 11,000 miles ago. The tranny leaves a 1/4 inch soild trail of fluid at any speed, seems the repair guy didn't seat the pump seal fully ($15 part) but its past its warranty. Place wanted $300 it repair the mistake. Engine is was usibng more fuel than normal, radiator fan assembly died, wipers died, defoster died, rust in several body spots, none critical, fuel pump going, headlights seen too many dear collisions, doors sag, slider door sticks/falls off now and then, oh it outside door handle is gone too.

I knew water would kill it but didnt want to take the easy well known route. maybe dry fine sand would have been fun. Well vans gone now and I'm $85 richer:rolleyes:

I hear that fine sand will port your engine and you might just make some extra HP. :D

You about gave me a heart attack thinking it was a 94 sc auto. Just throw some rocks in there and put a brick on the gas pedal:p
