Is there anything I can do to make my 5 speed shift easier?

My 89 SC shifts kind of hard (hard to get into gear sometimes). Seems like it should be easier. I know this Mazda M5R2 tranny originally came from a Ford pickup, but if I am going to change the tranny fluid soon, is there an additive I can put in to make things a little smoother and easier?

I don't believe there is a problem with the Clutch master or slave cylinders either.

Thanks

Pardon my Ig-norance...

but if I walk into my typical parts store are they going to know what Redline MTL and a bottle of friction modifier are (cuz I don't...)?

clarification

Redline is a brand of synthetic automotive fluids.Your best bet is to call Summitt Racing or Jegs. The friction modifier you can get at any parts store. It comes in 3 or 4 oz. bottles and you only need one.Oh,I don't remember the trans. capacity so you need to know that before you call Summitt or Jegs. That should do it.

trans fluid

The Redline MTL is a synthetic trans fluid.
