Help with converter selection?

Ok, this converter will be going in with the motor in about 2 weeks. Just trying to decided what to get. The motor is stock displacement, big valve CNC ported heads, 610 lift 224 duration cam, 1.7 Autorotor will be bolted to the top of it shortly after the install (see my member page Future Plans for the rest). Drivetrain is a TCI AOD with 3.73 rear gears.

Dirty Dog 12" nonlockup 2600 stall

or

TCI Steetfigther 10" lockup 2800-3200 stall

I have the Dirty Dog Converters in two of my cars and i must say that i have had no complaints with it, and i pull 1.70s 60ft with it all day long. I would go for the Dirty Dog hands down.

I have no loyalty to brands, just tyring to decide on the stall and the lockup or nonlockup. I pull 1.8 60's now with a stock stall lockup converter and MT ET Street radials.

Have you ever driven a car with 3000 stall? I did for the first time. I think it would take some getting used to. I got to drive this car. http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106691&highlight=converter

I got to ride in Ken Wagner's with a ~2400-2600 stall. (I don't remember the exact stall. I prefer the lower stall.

Are you planning on daily driving or just weekend fun and racing?

Definately no daily driving. Basically just weekends for fun and the track.

A TQ should be picked based o your car and mods. However, I do love my stall. I would go for the 10".
