I have a 95 sc with 154,000 miles and completely stock. It started spewing white smoke out the exhaust and pcv. I did a compression test and the #2 cylinder had no compression. I pulled that head and found that the piston was melted round on the bottom half. I pulled the motor and that piston and found a hole in the side about the size of a nickel just below the rings. Luckly it didnt ruin the cylinder, it honed right out. Any ideas on what may have caused this. All other cylinders and pistons look great. I will try and post pictures soon.

What can I do to avoid that again. I am replacing the piston and refreshening the rest of the motor.

I'd do some failure analysis to figure out what went wrong. Bad injector perhaps? Wiring problem? plugged cat or exhaust pipe. Something.
