things I need to know:

how much boost will a stock motor make, or take?

is there a place that would weld/regrind my crank to a 4.2 without charging an arm/leg/gonad to do?

do we know the number/code for a S/C ECU for an automatic?

do the ARP bolts for the heads really work on the S/C

boost is just a measurement of the backpressure in your intake... what matters is if you can flow x amount of cfm of air...

power on the otherhand, there are cars around here making 450+ on a stock motor. it has to be tuned reliably to reach that power level and not grenade other than some act of god.

buy a 4.2 truck crank, its cheaper. you will loose all sorts of integrity from welding it together.

what year car are we talking about? it varied over the years.

i cant personally vouch for the arp bolts, but they are highly regarded here, and those motors at 450+ are ruinning them with felpro blues with no issues.

also, the search function is your friend, these are all questions that have been asked before.

Since it was mentioned does a non-SC forged crank (replacement) need #4 journal at .010 under, or can it be dealt with with bearing? I'd figured it be cheaper to get a forged N/A crank and a SC.
