Land speed racing will take place at the old Loring Air Force Base in Maine July 31 to Aug. 2, 2009.
Lawson Bilhardt, who has run 191.897 mph at Maxton in his '90 SC plans to be at the Loring event. At Maxton, you have one mile to get up to top speed. The Loring runway has room to allow cars and motorcycles 1.5 miles to reach top speed.
Lawon hopes to break the 200 mph mark at Loring.
