Disassembling IC Tubes - How do I do it?

I'm getting ready to polish up some IC tubes and I was wondering what's the key to disassembling or breaking them down so to speak?

I really want to remove the Top Nut and then on the Uppper IC tube remove the bracket that pulls it towards the Innercooler.

Replies with pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I wrapped my tube ends with a towel and slapped the collar in the vice and turned the tube until it screwed off, I was replacing the rubber o-rings, worked good.

I have a couple tubes laying around...I tried a cold chizel and hammer on the one and just ended up beating up the aluminum.

Are these standard threads or are they reverse threads?

Thanks for the imput.
