ARP head stud question

I am installing a set of Kooks long tube headers and replacing the leaky valve cover gaskets....

I was thinking that now would be a good time to put in some ARP head studs....

Would there be any problem replacing one head bolt at a time with a stud....

Would it be safe to torque each of them down to proper specs once.....

i dont think i would do that. i would do it all right and do the gaskets or your be doing it over.

Yeah...that at least sounds like a big gamble, Ed. I think if you're not going to be changing the head gaskets, you're better off how it is right now than doing that. It's only a few more bucks and hours anyway! :) Just sell a few more parts and then you're set.

I just want my SC back on the road.....

Mold is starting to grow in the carpet, on the steering wheel, shift knob, and door handles.....:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Now I have to find some new carpet for her.....

So are you going to do a head job? They say with arp studs and moly lube you want to 50-70-90 torque specs

Better do something about the mold before it grow's all over the car

However that would be a sweet picture to see :p
