94/95 Door Trim Restoration

Hello guys,

What has worked for you? I used to be able to fix them right up with Mothers Back to Black. It's beyond that now.

What door trim are you talking about???? The black weather seals on the glass inside and outside?

If so, those seals are made of rubber not vinyl or plastic so you may have damaged them now. Back to Black is designed for those ywo substrates alone. I am not sure it can be used on rubber.

I always clean my trim with alcohol to get the dead stuff off and then use Lexol's Vinylex or 303 Protectorant on mine.

Hey Duff,

I am talking about the vertical hard plastic on the door, not the rubber horizontal seals. Those are cool, not cracked or anything.

Speaking of seals...Webasto was my sunroof supplier when I still worked in the trim purchasing group. My guy there has been checking various warehouses to see if he can find any service part sunroof seals. I'll let you know if he has any luck.
