Brad from the custom wheel shop (cudaz101) said that if we get 5 orders together, he can get the 18" saleen wheels made up in black or black chrome for $165 per wheel shipping included. This is for the mn12 bolt pattern.

Im ready! Count this as one:D
Im shooting for all black instead of the black chrome

I had some Black Chrome on my last Mustang. They were 18x9 Mach 1 style wheels. They looked awesome and I got a lot of compliments. But I must warn you, they were extremely heavy!!!!

What's the weight/width?

BRIAN WALTER

not sure of the weight, the black chrome will most likely weigh more than basic black.
Wheel sizes will be 18x9
THanks:)

I know that my 18x9 black Saleens with 265/40/18 rubber weigh 56 lbs a piece.

56 lbs look like to be a lot of weigh! how much for the stock mag? with some low profile tires? like 245/45/16?

Gorgeous wheels Kurt! I was looking at Foose Nitrous wheels but they are very pricey. I heard tires for 19" wheels are hard to find and more expensive than 20" tires are, is this true? The 19's fit the car perfect though:D

Sorry to hijack, but 19" tires are more expensive than most 20" tires with fewer sizes to choose from.

Nickleman had 265's on his. Maybe he can comment further.......
I had 265's on my MK8 with a drop and a correct alignment I had no rubbing issues.

I talked to brad not too long ago and he said he couldnt do the 18x9 saleens in black but that I could buy the silvers and have them coated, so this is an extremely good deal!!!!! I'd be in if I had the money : (

im supposed to get a big ammount of $$$ in a near future if i get it before your group buy im in for the black chrome!

BRIAN WALTER

That's why I'm figuring mid-October should be good enough for everyone to get funds together. We need to get 5 sets (20 wheels) all in the same style, black or black chrome. Or both if we get enough people together (40 wheels)
Catch 22 though, if someone bangs a wheel it will be almost impossible to get just one replacement in the Tbird pattern:eek:
If there aren't enough people on the group I may just do a hub swap over the winter and buy the stang pattern wheels
Ebay has them for just under $500 in the stang pattern
Front hubs are $53 each
Rear hubs from Fast Ed are $150 pair (use stock bearings or new $48 each)
Then either drill the rotors or swap to cobra
And we're about at the same price but with more brake options:D

yea but then you gotta deal with offset and backspacing issues cause the mustang rims stick out further...i feel it would be better if we could lock in this deal...but if not then we probably have to go the other way cause powder coating each rim will cost mucho : (

This sounds very interesting. I've been looking to get back into 18s. I had bought a set from Brad in the past and he is tops in customer service! :)

I just realized you have them on your bird (congrats on the bird of the month by the way ;)) and it does look pretty good pushed out a bit and with the bolt pattern there are way more options for brakes and rims.

What is the widest rear tire people are using on our cars with a 9" rim? With or without fender roll?

How many do we have so far? I am very interested and have 80% of funds in hand.

BRIAN WALTER

Black chrome is going to be more expensive according to cudaz101

So, who wants the black ones?
Lets get a roll call on these

If there is not enough interest I'm leaning towards the hub swap.

I talked to Brad and it is not looking good for the speed stars...

But the Euromax 612 are starting to look better and better evertime I look at them, and Brad feels really positive about the wheel. Said he can't guarantee it, but they should be in the ballpark of $170ea.

I feel the 612s have a little more style anyway.
