I also think that if we are taking that Black car across country, you need to take that to the track and let the fur fly. If its going to break, we need to do so here....so we can fix it and go.....

Bring the Black 94..............................

150 i thank

If he ran a 9.4 without it he should run at least a 8.4 - 8.5 with a 150 shot.

Well He hoping for 7's. He is putting a new motor and a cam in. He ran the 9.4 with 250,000mi motor and drag radials. But we will see.

A headed and cammed small block in a foxbody should run 7's with a 150 shot. If it will hook-up. He better make damn sure he has enough fuel pump if this is a new set-up. Or bring a trash can and a trailer to bring the engine and the car home with....I may have to come to this one....With my video camera...

Back in the SMS days of the Mid 90's, I had a friend that took a 1989 notch back that was bone stock and put a ridiculous amount of nitrous on it in two stages. All he did was up grade the pump, lines and injectors. Rest of the car was bone stock. It was a AOD as well. If I remember the first stage was 150 out of the hole and the second was another 200hp. He did all this to a 40k mile car that was beautiful. Anyway, it ran low elevens on the first two passes. Then he ran a 10.80 and that was the end of the stock E7TE motor....It was pretty crazy to see that stock car with nothing but some fuel, alot of nitrous, and a set of slicks go that damn fast. That was at VMP when that place was brand new. After his car blew up, they asked him not to come back. Though he always did. A few years later that guy was killed in that same car. It had a vortech supercharged 358cid in it then. He blew off the road on North Hampton Blvd going triple digit speeds and was ejected when the car rolled, from what the police told his brother/family...

Well I thank everyone really wants to see the action haha!! I was talking to him and our engine builder today.(I drop off my heads) And I told him that you guys want to see/race his car. He was kinda shocked but really looking forward to it. But Our engine guy believes he can do it. Although its a stock motor its a (stock)86 Flat top forged piston motor. that has been beefed up with a full APR stud and bolt kit. The engine is build for the spray. Our engine guys guarantees that the block will give before the internals give out! Now Im sure he means that with everything set up right. So if he doesn't upgraded the fuel system and runs lean well that another story. But we will see.

I have faith in the Mustangs, unlike many people around here. I have had way more of them than I probably ever will t-birds. I can tell you some crazy stories about when I was running around with those SMS lunatics... For a while there I was buying a set of tires every Monday morning(Among other parts). I was very thankful when our dealer ship started selling tires(Huge Discounts)...Hell, maybe I was one of those Lunatics.......
A Stock 302 will take 150 shot for a long time if it has the fuel to go with it. Just a matter if he is going to hook or not?? Ask Todd about his Early trips to the track with his new found power....Or you can go back and read our thread "What I learned at the track tonight" from October....

HAHA but the most interesting part is when he get hard headed, And HE is very hard headed. And Decide to thou the 200 shot instead of the 150 on it!!! And For some reason I thank he is already thanking that!

Hmm
I gained over 1/2 a sec in the 1/8 mile by suspension mods and tires. All that power is no good unless it makes it to the ground.

when my dads car (331 stroker) was bottle fed, we used two stages; first was a 150 followed by another 100 as soon as he hit second gear. we used a pretty cool controler and thats whats in my car now (90 shot lol). but now he moved on up to boost :D

I should finish with my TQ swap today weather permitting. The last thing I'm doing is installing a layer of header wrap on my longtubes, first time doing this so I'm learning as I go. 1st tube doesn't look as good as my 3rd tube on the passenger side header. I'll wrap the drivers side today and then bolt on the headers/exhaust and then see how this TQ performs.......

nickleman60

Finished everything up and drove it around the block to make sure it would move, it did. Later on I might take it to my "sweet spot" and see what it does at WOT.
