Took the car to the track the other night. Ran 12.952 @ 105.18 with 1.870 60'. R/T sucked as I forgot to launch when the third yellow lit up so I ended up going on green instead. Car was about 200lbs heavier than I would normally run due to 3/4 tank of gas, stock front tires instead of my skinnies, and 100lbs of junk in the trunk (yeah, yeah, I know). Oh, yeah, I also forgot to let air out of my M/Ts so I was running with 32 psi in them. The car shifted super early into 3rd. I didn't manually shift it during the night, but will look to do so at Club Clash next month. :)

cool deal. When I race, I don't worry about the reaction time, as it has no effect on your ET at all unless you're bracket racing. I simply launch when I feel comfortable.

We expect to see some good numbers, keep us posted:)

Dont know if I will do the club clash next month. I am going to the shootout and had talked about leaving the car at Michaels in Altoona and than coming back the next weekend to go to earlville. I will have to see if I can pulled that all off. Would like to run against you as I think we will be fairly close in ETs. Look forward to that. In the mean time nice going, you gotta be stoked about the 12s.

Congrats Paul!!!

Nice to see her up and running again. Any new black marks on the blacktop out in front of the house?

Yes, you did bleed for my cause. lol I got a nice new gash on my thumb lastnight grabbing onto the SC pulley with the belt removed. Seems the pulley ribs' outside edges have worked themselves into a razor sharp surface. Amazing I haven't shredded a belt yet.

There are two new patches in front of my driveway. Other than that I have been pretty tame around the streets due to cop presence and my new insurance (Progressive, blah).

Yep, surprised me too, with properly deflated tires and a good sticky warm up I hope to see real low 1.8s if not 1.79.

It has taken work from several people to get the car where it is at now. I won't list them all for fear of forgetting someone, but you all know who you are! :)

With Paul's weight limit though..............:D

Have to get up there and run a couple times. Mine has a problem I am working on, but it will be back up and going soon.

I wish I could consistantly get 1.6x's 60' times....I've done it about 5 times now.

Get a better converter and you'll see it all the time.

The converter hits plenty hard, but my tires don't hold. Although, I am open to suggestions.

A great run, especially up at BIR that night. Street Race night right? Were they prepping the track much?

I bet the car feels pretty good now. Congrats

I question the track prep. On one of my runs the car got real loose at about 1000feet. My heart skipped a beat as that is the first time that has happened to me. I ran in the other lane from that point forward. I'm thinking it was left over from the Muscle Car Shootout there the weekend before.

Got some personal bests from Club Clash yesterday. The 2-3 shift is still coming on about 800-1000rpm too early. I managed a 12.550 at 111.09. I red lighted that run, but we were only qualifying so I didn't care. The follow-up run I cut a .059 light and ran 12.664 at 111.52. 60' times sucked at 1.9 and 2.0. Track temp was 37deg F.

Either get yourself a lentech or silverfox valvebody so you can manually control the 2-3 shift... or drop the valve body you have and do the epoxy mod that will allow you to hold 2nd without shovel shifting.

10 GTP's showed up, only 4 Tbirds, 3 sc's including pauls and mine. Mike Albee's trans started slipping bad the night before the race.

I red lit in the first round by .045 letting me get back to tweaking my track tune. While paul and Al and Dan knocked off the rest of the GTP's to place 1,2,3 with tbirds. Al, Dan, Paul!

I was 'lucky' to make it to the third round with a MOV of only .008 sec in round two! THEN, in round three, the N/A 3.8 hit his dial in!

Well I will add to the number of Scs in the spring for sure. I will have the new motor in and broke in. Did any of the GTPs have respectable times? Looking forward to running you guys, should be a blast.

Of my 4 elimination runs, 3 were 17.05+change. Only one was 17 flat and that is what I had just changed to for that run against Paul. I figured with 2 17.05s, running a 16.88 dial wasn't so smart.

Al only beat me by .044 in the final, but in reality it was the reaction time difference. Al had a .1 something and I hitched to a .243 making sure I didn't red light. Without the hitch, I'd have beaten Al as I ran a 17.058 on a 17 flat dial in. Maybe I should have changed to 17.05 for Al since he took my favorite lane.

If I catch a break or two, the N/A will be splitported, cammed, and chipped by the spring race. If my ship comes in, it will be stroked, too.

From what I recall, the fastest GTP ran 12.8x.
