I am trying to find the name of the upper cable that is attached to the throttle on my 1990 SC. It came disconnected from the throttle and I need to find a replacement connector. It is still in one piece just missing the piece that secures it to the upper hole on the throttle.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

I'm not sure what it's called but there is a round brass fitting that fits into and over the hole on the linkage and the post on the cable end fits into the hole. A metal clip snaps over a groove on the post to hold it in place. I think the dealers carry it. Don't drive with the cable disconnected. It can ruin the tranny.

Yes, it is the dreaded TV cable......:p

AFAIK, some dealers still have this brass part on their shelves.....

Ask the parts dept. to search for it.....:D

Thats exactly what is was and for anyone else that still has the stock throttle valve bushing made of plastic... go to your dealer and ask for part # F3SZ-7H303-B cheap and will save you rebuilding your tranny. I just hope mine isnt gone :(. we will see as soon as i get the part. Thanks for the help guys.

Don't drive the car with it not hooked up, very bad on your tranny not having the Tv kick down hooked up.

yeah unfortunately it snapped off mid drive between Gallup , NM ... where just had the tranny rebuilt ouch 2100$... and LA. I just pray my tranny is ok. Cant afford another rebuild :( I don't think they even inspected the busen they even inspected the bushing or linkage when they rebuilt it. Wonder if they should have to pay for any additional work?
