i was wondering how i take off the timing chain so i can take the crank out. if there is anything i should know....

do i just unbolt it from the cam gear and pull it off?:confused:

The gear keyed to the cam shaft, and the gear keyed to the crank shaft should slide off. You need to slide them both at the same time until you can get the chain off.

it would be a good idea to line it all up b4 you remove it.. i did so while i did my cam.

Pretty much. I needed a puller to get the crank gear off. Some pics here:

Scroll down to day 3 for the timing cover stuff, and at the very end I did up a schematic showing all the timing cover bolts.
