In addition to lots of replacement parts that are needed for my 90 SC project, I see lots of little repairs I need to perform.

I hope people do not get angry with all my questions but I am going to take advantage of some really experienced people on this awesome forum to make my 90 SC a top notch project.

Current Question - AOD Shifter. Currently it is VERY loose, like scary loose. Id this common? Does it signal something that I should be aware of and are there any guides to fixing it (tightening, replacing, et al).

Fixes to far:
New pass turn signal assembly
New pass brake assembly
New rear rotors and pads
New rear tires
New belts

If the shifter moves around on you as much as you saying I think you should go ahead and replace it.

it sounds like someone was using it like a manual and has just worn it out.

I agree 100%. Every auto TBird I had drivin has had a tight shifter in it so look at getting another one to replace it.

How is it loose? Is the whole assembly loose as one piece?

I'd pull the cover off and see if there is any loose bolts that you could tighten.
