Variable stall converter for AOD

I was reading the most recent issue of MM&FF and came across an article about a low 9 second mustang running a varible stall AOD from Fred Brown (FB Performance) so I did a little poking around to see if it was something that might be applicible to an SC. The concept is pretty much spelled out in this patent application.

Not sure if this is something that can be done to my transmission, because this is accomplished by a soleniod valve in the transmission that dumps/diverts a portion of the fluid and pressure from the converter to loosen the stall.

Variable stall in an AOD, I'll go read the article. There are benefits but like anthing the more complicated you make it the more it will break. Old powerglides and 400's had variable pitch (same thing different name) also known as switch pitch. They always broke too.
