what kind of stall is everyone using, what would be "the best" stall for a street car. im not worried about tire churp on the streets.

Which transmission? I assume the 90 which has an AOD.
There are quite a few options. Going by what I sell most.
a high stall direct drive eliminated 12 inch converter, which is basically a reworked stocker. Mild performance gains, huge driveability help, low cost. I sell the most of those.
The best average performance is sually a 9.5 inch converter that keep the direct drive. stall speed around 2800-3000 makes for a nice driving fast SC.
On the least used probably because of cost is a 31 spline unit that eliminates the direct drive and has a sprag rated to handle in 1000ftlb of input torque.
It really depends on what you want it to do as to which way you should go.
