A/C delete pulley?

To ease some strain on the engine and I don't feel like buying a new one, is there a replacement for the pulley located at the front of the A/C pump? Eliminate the weight of the pump but maintain the belt as-is.

A lot of bracketry is involved, but figured I would ask.

>914Driver: Did I mention this is going into a 1968 Cortina?

Did I mention I've owned more Cortina's than I care to recall?

'67s, '68s & 69s - some new from the dealer and some rescued. Did my share of engine/trans transplants, battery relocations, 200 amp alternator conversions, lowering, rear spring rebushing w/teflon, cut springs, drilled rotors, cold-weather Lucas starters, autocross specials, GT wagons, aero mods, harness rebuilds, seat conversions, 3 million candlepower to the front...1 mil to the rear - 10" Lotus steering wheel, full Konis - had one with a reworked Cologne 2 liter OHC written up in Rod & Track in the early 70's. Routinely embarrassed BMW 2002's. Ran Goodyear Blue Streaks on the street... That car was a prototype for another dozen built over the next decade.

Best of luck w/your new project.
