I went to Milan Dragway yesterday (10/18/09) and ran a new best of 12.8913@105.86mph with a 1.7882 60' in my 95 SC. My previous best was 12.9191 back in October 06 so it's not much of an improvement but I haven't really changed anything since then either except replacing a double intercooler that was cracked every time I turned around with one of Ken Wagner's double intercoolers. I also got my best mph to date of 106.08. Temp's at the time were in the low fifty's. I got five runs in...all in the 12's.

Sweet! It's always fun to run a string of 12 second passes back to back.

Kudos man. What are you going to do now to go faster. Im shooting for 11s next year, to many 12 second cars:eek:They are becoming a standard:rolleyes: Anyway its real cool to be in the 12 second club:cool:

So 12 seconds isnt a big deal anymore? Man have we come a long way.... I think that an SC or Cougar that is running 12's is a hell of an accomplishment and would really like to know how many exist out there. The list on here isnt up to date and I know that not everyone shows up to the shootout. But I would bet that there arent as many 12 second SC's/XR7's out there as some would think.

Maybe we need to start a new thread and have everyone post their best time to date and see how many are out there. But, we still wouldnt get the ones that dont frequent this site. I see 16 on the TBU site that run in the 12's and some of those are the same 16 that are on the SCCoA list that is "way" outdated.

I know what you mean. It used to be running in the 13's was a big deal, but now it seems everyone just shrugs their shoulder's at a 13 and it may start getting that way when you get into the 12's now.

Thanks guy's. As for future plans with this car...I'd love to do an AR or similar setup but I work too many hours and just don't have the time to source all the needed parts together and so on. I do plan on getting a couple skinnies for front wheels and see if I can knock that 12.8913 down a little. Anybody know (ball park) how much going from O.E. type front wheels to aluminum spare wheel's with the recommended skinny tires would net. Anyone know how much weight difference (ball park) that would be?

I've read that recently, I think it was around 12-15lbs per wheel. I think it's in the the thread below.

Congrats Jimmy. I think the aluminum spares with skinny vw tires would be worth another 10th.
